It’s official! As we learned on Monday’s Days of Our Lives episode, Lani and Eli are moving back to Salem! Eli broke the news to a very excited Julie and told her that the FBI was so impressed by his and Rafe’s team-up in Alamainia, they’re keeping them together.

Soaps.com spoke with Sal Stowers recently and she filled us in a bit on the future. “I am very, very excited to say that, yes, you will see lots more of Lani Price Grant in the streets of Salem,” she shared excitedly. “So get ready! Buckle up, because she is here, baby!”

Even though Eli and Lani moved away in the summer of 2022, they’ve popped in and out of town a number of times over the years — most recently for Christmas, of course! So Stowers and Lamon Archey’s ties to the show and Salem have never wavered,

“I am very honored for my Days family,” she noted, “and I’ve just been very thankful and appreciative for having the opportunity to jump back into Lani and come back to Salem and see everyone. It’s a blessing.”

Eli and Lani surprise Julie DAYS

Being able to come and “work and be around people who I love and who I’ve known for, oh my God, a decade now, it’s really cool. I do not take it for granted.” Heck, at this point, we’re over a decade, as Stower’s Lani first appeared back in September of 2015.

Days of Our Lives show rep noted that they don’t comment on contract status, but promised that, as Stowers said, we will be seeing a lot more of Lani moving forward. And while Archey’s Eli won’t be around quite as much, he will also be more than the last couple years.

Well, Salem can always use more cops and FBI agents in town and we’re always happy to see Lani, Eli and the twins! We know that, sadly, we’ll be losing Chanel and Johnny eventually, but with Theo also back, it’s nice to know the Carver-Price family will be whole for a time, at least. So buckle up! (Especially if a certain someone from Abe’s past returns, too.)
