No matter what we do in life, there is most likely always something else we’ve wanted to do. And whether or not we do it, it’s totally up to us. The Young and the Restless’ Mishael Morgan (Amanda) is about to embark on a different avenue in her career and recently posted details that began with, “New chapter. Deep breath. Let’s go.”

The CBS soap star has “officially” opened up a production company called Iron Spine Productions and shared more about the experience on her official Instagram. “It feels equal parts thrilling and terrifying in the best way. I’m still acting (always), but I’m also stepping into a space with more agency, more ownership, and more responsibility for the stories I help bring into the world,” Morgan explained then went on to state, “I won’t lie, impostor syndrome tried to pull up a chair. But then I remembered something I’ve promised myself over and over again: never stop pushing past what’s comfortable. Growth never happens there.”

And launching the company during Black History Month felt “especially meaningful” to her and reminded that “the stories we tell, and who gets to tell them, matter.” Morgan also previewed an upcoming project being developed based on Vanessa Riley’s “beautiful book, one that’s deeply connected to my Caribbean heritage and to stories that honor our past while pushing us forward.” She’s also shopping around a reality project and has “so many exciting things on the horizon. Stories that matter. Stories that challenge me. Stories that feel personal.”

As you can imagine, some of Morgan’s Genoa City castmates jumped into the comments along with fans to send their best wishes, including Christel Khalil, who is back in the studio following maternity leave and cheered, “Yaaassss! Love the name!”

We too are very excited for Morgan and all that the future holds for her and this new venture.
