Bold & Beautiful’s Romy Park Reveals Why She’s ‘Had to Temporarily Step Back From Acting’

It’s been months since we last saw Poppy on the scene. In fact, it was in November of 2025 when the character told Li that she was glad Luna was dead, as the latter — her daughter — had tried to frame her for murder. However, her portrayer has been extremely busy and revealed what she’s been up to these days.

“Who’s the boss?” Park began with a long message on her official Instagram then went on to explain that only a few people were aware that in late December and early January she was getting ready to move back to her native East Coast, where she owns a home. But things have changed — or rather have been placed on hold. “A huge opportunity on one of my projects makes it necessary for me to stay and see it through.”

She’s been working “tirelessly” and hopes to soon be able to announce what she’s been working on. “I’ve had to temporarily step back from acting and have turned down some amazing offers for a couple of independent films as well as having to decline some auditions as I want to focus properly on realizing the big picture of the future I want to create for myself.”

And that has led her to actively work on “becoming a producer” so she can be “the boss” of her own acting career. “Those dreams are slowly coming to fruition and it has been years of blood, sweat and tears,” the actress continued. “I’ve fallen down and heaved myself back up more times than I can count. It has not been an easy road, but for the first time in my life I feel truly empowered.” In doing so, she’s “learned to stand up to people who are deemed to have more status and expertise and have gained their respect in doing so” and has proven her “creative and intellectual prowess much to their surprise” with the goal of wanting to “tell the stories I want to tell. I am not just an actor. I am a storyteller.”

We are so excited for Park and commend her for setting aside the daily hustle and bustle in front of the cameras to go after her dreams — and to make them happen!
