Time to File a Missing-Persons Report as Bold & Beautiful Breaks the Promise It Made to Fans

Remember back in September of last year, when a whole lotta hoopla was made of the fact that The Bold and the Beautiful was finally going to have a gay couple on the canvas? Well, where are they? Or, more specifically, where is Remy?
Remy Wanted to Win Back Deke, So… Um…
Deke’s estranged boyfriend hasn’t been seen since December, when he stopped by Il Giardino in hopes that Deacon would put in a good word for him with his son. And after that? Pfft. Nada. Remy’s been scarcer than last year’s fashions!
Heck, at this point, it almost seems like Bold & Beautiful has forgotten that Deke is gay, ’cause he showed exactly no interest in cute waiter Tyler and has been so encouraging of Dylan that it borders on flirtation.
Remy Is Problematic, But…
Admittedly, Remy is a challenging character; how could he not be after what he did to Electra? But Bold & Beautiful is full of challenging characters, from Ridge, who once raped Brooke, to Deacon, who took Bridget’s virginity while her family was on speakerphone, to Sheila, who’s opened fire on half the people she’s ever met. (Review her crimes here.)
So why is Remy the one character who isn’t given a shot at redemption? And why are he and Deke the one couple that doesn’t get to break up and make up 100 times? Your thoughts in the comments. And while you’re here, check out the new edition of Soaps’ Burning Questions below.
