Jacob Plots To Keep Grayson Quiet — Plus, Chelsea and Kat Finally Work Things Out!

Smitty receives a text and dashes off to meet Jacob. The undercover cop tells the journo what went down, and Smitty offers to do a deep dive on Grayson. As for Jacob, he comes up with a plan to bring Grayson is as part of the investigation!

Meanwhile, Ashley texts Grayson and suggests he meet her after work at Uptown. When he arrives, she tries cheering him up with little success. Naomi joins them and they discuss both his mom’s condition and Anita’s cancer. Stepping away to take a call, Grayson seems not entirely surprised that it’s Jacob, saying they need to talk and urging the lab tech not to say anything until they have!

Martin warns Bill that he should keep a close eye on Hayley, adding that violent attacks can have long-lasting and unexpected after effects. Fresh off their chat, Bill heads over to the casino and asks Joey a pointed question: What’s going on between “Sammy” and Hayley? While Joey is clearly beginning to put together the pieces, he suggests to Bill it makes sense that Hayley would turn to someone she knows and trusts.

Kat Wants Leslie Punished!

Nicole is pleased when Kat swings by to talk. But soon, Kat is on her typical “Leslie is a demon” rant, leading Nicole to urge that her daughter learn to live with her anger. Yes, Leslie has committed outrageous crimes and sins, but Nicole suggests Kat “take away her power, pretend she doesn’t even exist at all!”

Talk turns to her rift with Chelsea. At the same time, Naomi is urging Chelsea to talk things out with Kat, pronto. The young women get together at Orphey Gene’s and find their way back together. That said, Chelsea is surprised when Kat says she’s still planning to move out. Why? Because living on her own is an important step in growing up.

Vanessa’s Playing With Fire

With the dedication system for the clinic fast approaching, Vanessa tells Joey that Deanna will be coming home for it and can finally meet him. Joey’s clearly taken aback, suggesting that’s not the best idea. The blonde suggests she knows her daughter better than him, which is pretty clearly not true in this instance! Later, over drinks, Nicole tells Vanessa she seems to be working hard to turn Joey into someone he’s not.
