Naomi Experiences a Gut-Wrenching Nightmare! [Recap]

Leslie Eavesdrops on Chelsea’s Wedding Plans

Madison and Chelsea are awaiting Kat and Dani’s arrival to discuss wedding plans. Kat and Dani loudly arrive on the scene ready to give their full attention to the plans. They are going back and forth between classic and bohemian when Dani has a solution. She mentions a chapel in Virginia where she did a modeling shoot years ago. They look it up and it’s still standing and fabulous. Kat asks about a date, and they decide on April/May 2027 after Madison completes her fellowship. With that, Madison has to go for a consult and makes her exit.

Leslie walks into the dining room with an event planner for Eva’s wedding (which is not even a thing). She says her daughter has bagged a hot man and is gonna give her all kinds of grandbabies. She goes on and on before telling the planner the country club is too small. She needs something grand with marble floors and vaulted ceilings. She leaves the planner to consider her options whilst she heads back into the dining room.

Leslie is listening outside and immediately calls the party planner and tells her to book the Virginian chapel for their event. She then grabs something on which to write and begins to take notes about all the details (why?). With that, Lesie walks away as Kat watches.

Lesie takes her seat in the foyer and begins dictating the detail she heard from Chelsea, Kat and Dani.

Eva and Izaiah Feed Their Sexual Hunger on Beyond The Gates

Eva walks into the living room to find a half-nekkid Izaiah in the living room. She needs to go to work but Izaiah has other things in mind before sweeping her off to the bedroom. Afterwards, Eva walks back out and sees Izaiah on the phone with her dad. He says he told him Eva was exhausted after the way he laid it down. They get all cute together and head back to the bedroom.

Eva and Izaiah are lounging on the sofa after their romp. Izaiah notices the wedding mags and Eva says her mother has been dropping hints like anvils. Just then, there’s a knock at the door and Leslie storms in. Eva is done and tells her mama to go outside whilst they dress. Leslie does better and leaves but beforehand tells her daughter she will return with her future printed in color.

Naomi Experiences a Gut-Wrenching Nightmare!

Naomi awakens to find Jacob gone with a note saying he will be back soon (never a good sign). Just then, Dani arrives at the door saying she needs to sit down. Dani says she is so sorry and Jacob is gone. He was killed in the line of duty. Naomi begins to break down and falls into her mother’s arms and onto the floor.

Dani says Jacob’s cover was blown and he was gunned down in a drive-by outside Orphey Gene’s. Naomi can’t believe it and shows her mother the note he left behind. She doesn’t know how she’s going to live in a world where Jacob doesn’t exist. Dani tells her daughter to lie down as she needs her rest. As soon as her head hits the pillow she wakes up and is relieved to find Jacob sitting in a chair across the room. Jacob hates to put his wife through all of this mess, but Naomi knows what he’s doing is important. She says he is the only superhero she will ever need.

Naomi and Jacob start to get down to business, but he says duty calls. She sees his wedding ring, and he says he has to leave it off when he’s undercover but wanted to have it front and center. He knows it’s the last time they may see each other for a while. Naomi is fine with stolen moments as she will take what she can get. With that, he exits.

Nicole Puts Petty Kial on Notice on Beyond The Gates!

Nicole is in her office when Carlton arrives on the scene back from his family trip. He says he had a good time but missed her and wants them to go to dinner this week. Nicole mentions the double date with Joey and Vanessa. He isn’t thrilled but will comply to be with her.

Nicole and Carlton are discussing the double date when Kial walks in (and calls Carlton “Fitz”). He wants to retrieve his watch and then gets cute about where he left it. Carlton and Kial begin to give each other the business when Nicole shuts it down. She thinks they are being petty and juvenile and brings up the basketball court. Nicole says she is a grown ass woman who expects the company of grown ass men. Carlton agrees to behave and leaves to give them space to talk.

Kial apologizes but Nicole is having none of it. He promises to behave and hopes he hasn’t ruined anything. Nicole says she will consider the situation but not to hold his breath. With that, Kial puts his tail between his legs and exits.

Later, Nicole runs into Carlton and apologizes for Kial. He knows the rules and is happy to share as he would rather be in the game. With that, he heads off to surgery.

Dani Informs Chelsea and Kat Someone Is Hijacking Their Wedding Planning

Chelsea, Kat and Dani come back together and discover none of their plans are possible as everything and everyone is booked. Kat thinks none of this is a coincidence and then Dani calls a backup. Just then, she hears Bijou’s ringtone coming from the other room and Dani takes off in that direction. She finds her all atwitter and asks what client could possibly have left her in this state.

Later, Dani returns to the dining room and tells Kat and Chelsea someone has been hijacking their wedding plans.

Izaiah Makes Leslie Promise to Stand Down on Beyond The Gates

Leslie returns to the living room and Izaiah tells Eva to head out as he and her mama should get more acquainted. After she leaves, Leslie and Izaiah get all kinds of awkward, and he notes they need to talk.

Later, Izaiah tells Leslie she is smothering Eva with the wedding mags and talk. He needs her to back off so there isn’t so much pressure on them. Leslie thinks Eva and Izaiah are like a walking magazine cover and remind her of the love she never had. He gets it but says she needs to let him love Eva in his own time and way. He promises to fill her in if they ever decide to take things to the next level. Leslie promises to stop, for now and the two share a giggle and a fist bump.

Later Eva arrives at the hospital and runs into Madison. They talk about the free clinic and her Parkinson’s research and nice it is to be doing good for the world. Just then, Naomi arrives and grabs Ashley for a chat. She tells her about her night with Jacob and how it retraumatized her all over again. Naomi can’t stop thinking about Jacob being killed in the line of duty and Ashley tries to support her.
