We were as horrified as Beyond the Gates’ Naomi when mom Dani showed up at her door in Monday’s episode (recapped here) and tearfully revealed that Jacob had been killed in the line of duty. How could the powers that be have offed Jibre Hordges’ character, a card-carrying good guy in a town full of troublemakers?
Welp, it turned out that rumors of Jacob’s demise were greatly exaggerated. The whole scene was but a nightmare that Naomi had during a tryst with her husband, who as you know is working undercover to bust the plasma ring that’s making the authorities’ blood boil!
Neat trick, Beyond the Gates. You got us good!
As the Fairmont Crest detective began his dangerous new assignment, his portrayer took to Instagram to ask viewers, “What y’all think about Jacob’s new look? Y’all feeling it? He’s fully undercover now, and it’s no going back until the job is done.
“Y’all think he’s going to take care of business and bring the plasma ring down or fall short?” he added. “Have some faith in Jacob! It’s going to be a wild ride, so keep tuning in to see how it all plays out!
