Kat Warns Izaiah Away From Leslie and Eva — But He’s All For the ‘Wedding’ Planning

Running into each other at Caffeine Fix, Kat lets Izaiah know what a terrible idea his wedding to Eva is. Unfazed, he informs her that all the wedding talk is just Leslie being Leslie, and jokes about her being upset he’s off the market. Kat warns he doesn’t know what he’s getting into, but Izaiah thinks Eva is worth the Leslie headache. Referencing Ted’s experience with Leslie, she urges him to really consider if that’s the future he wants to marry into.

Can Anyone Manage Leslie?

At Orphey Gene’s, Leslie harasses a lunching Derek for not being at the clinic. After some bickering, he calls Eva for backup, but she’s too busy at the hospital, venting to Ted about her mama. Eva pleads with her father to stop Leslie’s fixation on a wedding before she scares Izaiah away. Realizing how much Eva cares for Izaiah, Ted agrees to talk to Leslie/Dana.

When Eva receives a photo from Derek of Leslie harassing him, she rushes to Orphey Gene’s. She yells at her mother for disrespecting Derek and any future employees she may recruit. Leslie goes to Ted’s office and asks him to fire Eva from his practice so she can manage the clinic full-time. Ted refuses, then tries to reason with his unhinged ex about her meddling in Eva and Izaiah’s lives. She takes the opportunity to throw herself at him, which he rebuffs.

Let’s Throw a Party!

At home, Dani vents to Andre about Leslie hijacking Chelsea and Madison’s wedding. Andre offers to talk to his Uncle Ted, but Dani wants sex first. After Andre readily obliges, he tells Dani of an out-of-town photo assignment he plans to pass on so he can be there for her and the family. Dani insists Antia wouldn’t want him to disrupt his life for her and convinces him to take it.

When Andre goes to talk to Ted, Kat drops by Dani’s place to update her on Leslie planning a non-existent wedding. As they celebrate the brides presumably getting their dream wedding back, Izaiah fills Eva in at Orphey Gene’s. Incensed, Eva wants to cancel everything, but Izaiah suggests they allow Leslie to continue planning the party to free up the other dates for Chelsea and Madison. Worst-case scenario, they have a blast with all their friends with Leslie footing the bill. Or, it could be a fundraiser for the hospital. Either way, the party planning will keep Leslie busy.

Hospital Mishaps and Gossip

At the hospital, Lia reprimands fill-in supervisor Ashley for several workflow-related nursing errors. Meanwhile, over lunch at Uptown, Shanice fills her Aunt Monica in on Ted’s ex dating two men. Monica questions Leslie’s and Nicole’s place in Ted’s life, but Shanice brushes it off, despite some visible hesitation. When they return to the hospital, Leslie inserts herself into their conversation about Ted. Monica warns that Leslie will get twice what she can handle if she keeps making trouble for Shanice.
