If you’re old enough to remember the 1973 horror film The Exorcist, we can bet that you had nightmares after witnessing Linda Blair’s performance as a demon possessed the body of her character Regan MacNeil. Since the original, there have been five others that’ve followed and now a new one is about to join the ranks with a familiar The Young and the Restless face.

Our sister site, Deadline, has learned that Sasha Calle (Lola) has been cast in Mike Flanagan’s The Exorcist: Deceiver. It’s not a surprise that there are no other details surrounding her role, since the plot for the lastest installment, set to be released on Friday, March 12, 2027, is being kept hush-hush. However, it’s being reported that the movie will not be a sequel to 2023’s The Exorcist: Believer and will take viewers on a whole new horrifying ride. Calle joins Laurence Fishburne (One Life to Live’s Josh), Diane Lane, Scarlett Johansson, Jacobi Jupe and Chiwetel Ejiofor.

Calle turned up on the scene in 2018 as Rey’s little sister and last appeared in 2021 telling her brother that she was leaving Genoa City to be a guest chef at the biggest restaurant in Florida. Since leaving daytime behind, the actress has landed various big roles including Supergirl in The Flash and can currently be seen as Desi alongside Matt Damon and Ben Affleck in Netflix’s The Rip.
