Beyond the Gates Exclusive: Ambyr Michelle Previews the Twist That’s ‘Going to Really Blow People’s Minds’

Since there are no coincidences on soap operas, we have to figure that Beyond the Gates keeps having people warn Kat that she might someday need half sister Eva for a reason. And though Ambyr Michelle is too savvy to reveal exactly what that reason might be, she does tell Soaps.com that what’s coming up for Ted’s quarrelsome daughters is “going to be wild. It’s going to be crazy. 

“When I was reading the episodes, I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, one, I’m excited to play this as an actress. But two, the audience is going to be in for a juicy storyline,’” she continues. “It’s really going to blow people’s minds.”

When the dust settles, could Eva and Kat at last move past the animosity that has characterized their relationship since even before Nicole’s daughter found out that she was related to Leslie’s? “Yeah, I really do,” Michelle says. “I think the fighting is very intense and it makes for great TV. But I do want them to find common ground or just at least coexist in a peaceful environment.

“They’re both too bright individuals, and they have a lot going for them,” she adds. “So I just want to know what that looks like [if they get along]. From the jump, we’ve only seen them not like each other. So I want to see what that looks like on the other end.”

Whether viewers want to see Eva and Kat kiss and make up is another story. “It’s like 50/50. Some people are like, ‘Get along already.’ And some people are like, ‘We love it. Hate each other forever.’ So I’m excited to see what happens.”
